Zodeen / One database, real capacity

Know who really has time, across every project and everything else they do

Zodeen counts each person’s whole week: every project they are on, their time off, to-dos, goals, programs and on-call, at the pace they really work.

The problem

Most project tools only know about the project in front of them. A plan says Bob has 30 hours of backend work this week. It does not know he is also on the payroll migration, on call, working towards a goal, and runs 20% slower than his estimates. So people end up at 200% and nobody sees it until a deadline slips.

How it works

Every project, together

Capacity adds up the remaining hours of every task a person owns or helps on, in every Zodeen project, week by week.

The rest of One Caye

Time off comes from the One Caye vacation calendar. To-dos from My list, goals from Performance, on-call rotations, programs, standing meetings and training come from their own records. Nobody types them in twice.

At each person’s real pace

Isabella learns how fast each person really works against the plan and schedules the rest of their work at that pace. Bob runs at 80% of plan pace, so 30 planned hours become 38.

Where the hours come from

Click anyone to see the breakdown: each item, what the plan says, what Isabella plans at their pace, and the total against what they can give after time off.

Now and ahead

Switch between this week and the next four weeks. Isabella flags anyone over 110% this week or next, and over 125% later, before it becomes a problem.

An example: Bob, at Brightway

  • Bob is a backend engineer. This week he has the cloud backend for the new app, the payroll migration’s integrations, four hours on call and two on a goal: 83 hours for 40 available, or 208%.
  • Isabella sees it the moment the plan changes and tells both project leads, on their notices and on their One Caye My list.
  • She proposes two fixes: Elena moves his payroll work a week later, and Marcus helps on the backend for three days.
  • Two approvals later Bob is at about 125%, and the app launch is back on track for December 4.

The value

  • No hidden overload: managers see 200% before it costs a deadline.
  • Plans built on how people really work, not on estimates.
  • One source of truth for time off, goals and programs, so nobody double-books a person.

In the product

  • Where time goes: every person’s week by source, against what they can give. Bob is at 208%.
  • Bob’s breakdown: each item, the hours the plan says, and the hours at his real pace.
  • The next four weeks, so you can see the crunch coming.
  • Team load: an eight-week heatmap across every project.
  • Time off from the One Caye calendar, checked against open work.
  • After two approvals Bob is down to about 125% and the launch is back on track.
